Long Curly Hair Style

Submit a photo of your long curly hair style here. This is a great hair style to show off your beautiful tresses, yet still look formal. Materials Needed: - Bobby pins the shade of your hair
- Hairspray
- Curling iron
- Small-tooth comb
Step #1 Separate bangs from the rest of your hair using your small-tooth comb. Make your part from ear to ear.

Step #2 Twist hair and clip it up.

Step #3 Starting at the top of the head, take a 1 inch section of hair that lies behind the clip and twist it.

Step #4 After twisting the hair tie it in a knot like tying a rope.
Step #5
Push the knot down close to the head, and bobby pin in place. To pin, straddle part of the knot with your bobby pin and push through - hiding the bobby pin under the hair.

Step #6 Now, grab a one inch section of hair either to the left or right of the first knot you made and repeat steps 3-5. You should end up with one row of 4-6 knots (depending on the size of your head).

Step #7 Remove the clip from your bangs and do steps 3-5 on this row of hair. (Just like the row behind it) After you are done, it should look similar to this. (By the way – you could stop here for a cute casual hairdo for everyday.)

Step #8 Now, take your curling iron and make
spiral curls (this link opens in a new window)
in the hair coming out of the knots and the back of your head. Tips: - If your hair is thick or heavy, spray hair at the root to make the curls stand up a bit and not be so weighed down.
- You can gently finger comb through the spiral curls. If you like the spiral look, do not touch it much. If the curls in the front of your hair are falling in front of your face and you look like a poodle, bobby pin some of those curls back to prevent them from falling forward.
- If you already have a long curly hair style, just simply follow steps 1-7. You may want to use a curling iron anyways just to “shape” your curls better.
