Hair Tips and Techniques to Make You Look Your Best

hair tips

These hair tips help you to create beautiful styles. All elaborate updos and hairstyles start with a nice base. That base may be curls, waves, beach waves, spirals or straight hair. As well as being able to perform these techniques, it is also important to have a head of healthy, vibrant hair, void of flakes and dirt.

Healthy hair stems from a healthy body. The basic rules of health apply to great looking hair. These rules are simple, yet can be difficult for many women to implement. They are:

  • Get plenty of rest - preferably eight hours of sleep per night
  • Eat regularly. Do not starve your body of nutrients. To keep a nice metabolism, it is important to keep fueling your fire. Eat every 2-3 hours. You do not need to eat a full meal, but depending on your calorie needs, this will stem out to be 200-300 calorie meals 4-6 times per day, or 3 bigger meals with 2 small snacks.
  • Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces every day. For example, if you are 120 lbs, then you need to drink 60 ounces of water per day (120lbs/2 = 60 ounces). This is approximately 8 cups of water per day.
  • Don't skimp on the fat - the GOOD fat, that is. Good fats are Omega 3 Fatty Acids that are found in fish, almonds and walnuts. If you do not eat enough of these types of foods, consider taking a fish oil supplement or cod liver oil daily.
  • If you follow the above, that will eliminate a host of hair problems, but you may have a specific hair problem such as dandruff. I've included some home-made remedies that will get rid of these flakes and make your hair-quality gorgeous enough to try the following tips and techniques:
