French Twist Hairstyle

This fun and funky french twist hairstyle can be done on medium or long hair and it is easy to do yourself.

Hair Preparation: None! - This style is great for naturally curly or straight hair. It is also great if your hair is a mess, or you woke up late and don't have time to style it.

Note: If your hair is naturally curly, and if you want the look in the picture above, you will need to follow the directions in Straight Hairstyles to achieve this look.

Materials Needed:

• Jaw clip



• A small tooth comb
• Hairspray
• Optional - Curling iron

Step #1

Pull your hair into a low ponytail at the base of your head (but don't secure it with a ponytail holder). Twist the ponytail up.

Step #2

Tuck all of the hair into the twist and secure at the top with the jaw clip. Make sure you let the ends of your hair hang out. If your hair is longer, it will fall over the jaw clip.

Step #3

Back-comb and hairspray the hair sticking out of the jaw clip to make a funky look.

Optional: Curl the hair sticking out of the jaw clip with a curling iron to make a more refined and "finished" look.
