Bridesmaid Hair Style

This is the perfect bridesmaid hair style because:

• By wearing your hair up and out of the way, there are no worries about drooping curls or having to primp,

AND

• It looks nice to have the chignon on the side of your head (instead of the back) for wedding pictures.

Materials Needed

• Bobby pins the shade of your hair
• One Elastic ponytail holder
• Hairspray
• Hair long enough to pull into a side ponytail

Step #1

Pull all of your hair into a low ponytail on the side of your head.

Imagine the ponytail as divided into 3 sections like an upside down triangle. We are going to make 3 loops - one on the top left, one on the top right and one on the bottom.

Start with the top left. Divide off about a third of the hair in the ponytail on the upper left-hand side. Begin to loop that section around the fingers of your other hand. Continue to loop that section of hair in a circle until all of it is in the circle and laying flat against your head. Use bobby-pins to secure this loop in place against your head.

To secure the loop, make sure that the bobby pin catches on the edge of the hair in the loop and then dives under the loop so that the bobby pin does not show. Here are pictures of the process:

Step #3

Separate off the next section of hair from the upper right-hand side of the ponytail. Loop this section in a circle - (just like step #2 above) and secure in place with bobby pins.

Step #4

Loop the remaining section in a circle below the upper two loops directly behind your ear and secure with bobby pins.

Step #5

Mist the side chignon with hairspray for lasting hold.
