Beach Wedding Hair Style Directions

Beach wedding hair should be romantic, fun, free and work well with the humidity. Try this wavy hair style for a beach wedding. To capture this look, you will need a:

  • 3 Barrel or Dual Waver
  • Flexible Hold Hairspray
  • A Hair Flower

Step #1

Divide hair off into sections and clip up and out of your way.

Step #2

Take a one inch section of hair. Comb it straight. Starting at the roots of your hair, clamp down on this section of hair with the 3 Barrel Waver as close to your scalp as possible. Hold for 5 seconds (if your waver does not wave your hair very well, turn up the heat as high as it will go, or hold longer.

Tip: After you have clamped your hair, turn the barrel toward the head (like you are curling your hair under). This reinforces the waves, making a stronger ā€œSā€ wave.

Do you see how she turns the barrel under?

Step #3

Depress the clamp off of this section and move down the hair shaft to some of the straight hair.

Clamp down, turn under and hold. Repeat until you reach the ends of the hair.

Side note:

Some people get discouraged if the first curl they make does not look perfect. Don't get discouraged if the beautiful S-shaped wave you see in the picture did not happen for you. You may have to hold the iron in your hair longer, or take smaller sections of hair.

Even in the pictures you see here, we did not get every hair perfectly waved.

Step #4

Continue to wave 1 inch sections of hair around your entire head until all sections are waved. Spray hair with a flexible hold hairspray so that you still get movement in your hair.

Add a hair flower to add elegance.

Note: You can also wave your hair using the GHD iron. If you buy the Styler IV, it comes with a DVD video that shows how to wave your hair.

Wavy hair looks best if you have long, full hair. If you do not, why not try clip-in hair extensions that you can curl straighten, or make beach waves with your dual waver?
